I was sitting between the four walls,
Thinking alone what was wrong,
I took a pencil and drew on plain canvas,
And splashed the colours on it just like life gave us the surprises.
I took out my phone and saw people pose their best on ig
I saw a dashing white man with adoring comments
Then a fat black lady with all the cruelest insults
Is it wrong for you to be confident as you can be?
What makes them different?
Why is everybody staring?
Is it really a problem?
Or is it the skin that they’re wearing?
So quick to judge,
The black and white,
So eager to name,
Calling it right.
When do we realise?
We are all but one,
Open your eyes,
Lets stop this discrimination!
Who are we to judge by skin or how thin they are
Who are we to judge by the eyes or the colour of their hair dye
Who are we to judge by God's beautiful creatures
When we are all go to the same place when we die.
Day by day I listened to everybody’s reasons to fall,
Some were stupid,
Mostly not,
They did this for others,
but nobody would for them.
Be it you are a man strong and mighty,
Or a woman bold and brave so pretty,
Equality is what we lack,
For our rights we should get back.
But you look away because they’re not really your type,
They’re like one-hit wonders,
The ones that cant live up to the hype.
I am an old version of a book
My sister being put on the shelves for display
And those who treasure me shall know we’ve got the same ink,
the same content but the cover that differs.
I just cannot seem to connect the dots,
Like the lines that you said that crossed the line,
What about the pretty violets on your skin were actually bruises,
That adorned you and you said you’re just fine.
NO! It’s the double standards that abounds,
You were discriminated and were categorised,
That leads to the humanity demise,
Oh lord please save us fast from the pain that he does.
People spit on them, calling them names, categorising stuffs,
Judging them and begrudging them, kinda like a sad git.
Hate seing our eyes meet as you quickly look away!
You saw them and hated it, so you didn’t want to stay!
We all must bring our racism to end.
A message to all, I long to send.
The colours of the world,
all join as one.
For the God is the best creator,
He made all man in the likes of him.
So please, let us all End Racism
