At first glance i saw nothing,

Looked back and saw something,

Looked up and i said to the sky,

Is this the one for me, i cry.

Myths and legends painted my childhood,

Reminding me to stay amused with good thoughts,

The positivity frolicked in my mind,

Leaving traces of sadness in my heart.

My heart pounds so rhythmic and so loud,

Staying consistent to move on,

My mind throbs with the pain i bear,

Of all the memories that should be washed away.

I wish for a temporary amnesia,

Longing to stand tall and forgetting others,

You thought it was easy but hell no,

I should’ve told you a long time ago.
